What is it?
The VIA Alumni Summit is a chance for members of VIA’s alumni community to gather, reconnect, and help shape the future our alumni engagement. We hope to bring alumni together to continue building an active, engaged, self-sustaining community that thrives through sharing inspiration, supporting the personal and professional growth of its members, and collaborates to address the world’s most pressing challenges.

Who should attend?
1) Alumni who have been active leaders in the VIA community and want to continue building their skills, collaborating with others, and take an active role in shaping the future of VIA’s alumni community.
2) Alumni who want to get more involved with the VIA community and discover how they can take a more active role in shaping the future of VIA’s alumni community.

Meet the Alumni Summit Coordinators!

Ei Zin Mon – GLE 2017 and ESI 2018 Alumna

I am Ei Zin Mon, an alumna of 2017 GLE and 2018 ESI programs. I am currently working with Child’s Dream Foundation in Myanmar. Being one of the alumni of the VIA, it’s a great privilege for me to share and bring positive changes to my community. So, now is our chance to bring and make positive changes for our community. I also believe that this 2019 alumni summit will be so much fun meeting all the alumni and we shouldn’t miss this opportunity sharing, caring, and participating with us. Please join us and I am so excited to see both old and new faces at VIA Alumni Submit in March.

Apart from many innovative activities in VIA, the VIA alumni summit is also exciting as this is the great chance to share our continuous improvement and become our VIA network stronger than before.

Fitri Mulyaningsih (Pipit) – IUSYLP 2014 Alumna, Alumni Summit @ Chiang Mai Attendee

Hi Everyone, let me introduce myself. My name Fitri Mulyaningsih but you can simply call me Pipit (in Indonesia “Pipit” is a bird’s name, so if you forget my name just simply remember bird ^_^). I am an alumna of IUSYLP (Indonesia United Stated Youth Leadership Program) 2014, one of VIA’s program. I also joined VIA Alumni Summit Leadership Program in Chiang Mai Thailand last year. Rizky Aljaza (Kiki) – Indonesia Summer Internship Alumna, Alumni Summit @ Chiang Mai Attendee, VIA Indonesia Staff

Greetings from Indonesia! Hello everyone! I’m going to briefly introduce myself; my name is Kiki. I am the financial and operational staff member for VIA Indonesia. Now, I live in Yogyakarta, a special region where most of the VIA programs in Indonesia are conducted. Besides my financial and operational responsibilities in VIA Indonesia, I also assist the VIA programs and, together with the other staff, run monthly programs for communities around us. I always enjoy my time working with VIA, especially because I get the chance to meet a lot of amazing people who keep inspiring me to keep growing. This would be my second Alumni Summit; it is both exciting and nervous to experience this as one of the planning members. As I recall my memories from the first VIA summit, my favorite part was the game for leadership training. it was a fun activity where we worked together pretty well even though some of us had just met. For me, this event is a great chance to meet people who share the same interests with us, recall our time in the VIA programs, to reflect and recharge, and of course open more doors of opportunities in the future. I look forward to meeting you guys! Let’s create more inspiring memories together!

Su Han Moh Aung (Style) – ESI 2018 Alumna

Su Han Moh Aung believes in “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Her personal desire to gain knowledge has also influenced her attitude towards education. She got bachelor’s degree in Pakokku University and post graduate diploma in Yangon University. She has been working at Myanmar Mobile Education Project which provides non-formal education and vocational skills to out-of-school working children in Myanmar since 2014. And she has been working as a part time post language instructor at U.S Embassy Rangoon for 7 months. She is also one of the ESI alumni in VIA program. Now, she is very excited to see, reconnect and build professional networking with VIA alumni community in March 2019. She has a very keen interest in exploring new things and meeting with new people. Her favorite is learning and sharing different cultures with people. She also loves making recycle things, writing notes and storytelling. This is a good chance for alumni to share our activity what we have done after a program by VIA in order to get inspiration each other. The most important thing is to create professional networking among VIA alumni in order to be more creative change makers in the future. So, please don’t miss this great chance of VIA Alumni Summit in Myanmar.
