Danni Redding Lapuz

Danni Redding Lapuz currently serves as the Interim Vice President of Instruction at Skyline College and has over 14 years of experience in higher education, serving in a variety of roles related to Music, STEM, International Education, and Social Science/Creative Arts administration. She is Co-founder and Executive Director of GEN – Global Educators Network in collaboration with Stanford Global Studies and was selected as a Stanford EPIC Fellow in 2016-2017, completing a one-year project integrating global perspectives into curriculum through a multi-disciplinary faculty collaboration. Danni earned a BA in Music from UC Irvine and an MA in Ethnomusicology from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, specializing in Indonesian Performing Arts and Southeast Asian Studies. She received the Fulbright-Hayes fellowship for study at Universitas Sam Ratulangi (Manado, Sulawesi) and conducted research on the evolution of performing arts in Balinese transmigrant communities. Danni sings with Peninsula Women’s Chorus and plays with Gamelan Pusaka Sunda, along with her husband and two children. Danni served as VIA’s Development Director 2006-2007 and planned VIA’s 40th and 45th Anniversary Celebrations. She currently serves as chair of the Program Committee on the VIA Board.
