Navigating Fellowships Roundtable
October 1 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm PDT

Join VIA Global Community Fellowship Alumni Anny Lin (2023-2025), Brianna Avila (2024-2025), and Lulu Zhou (2019-2020) as they discuss their experiences applying for and participating in international Fellowships.
The goals of this fellowships roundtable are to:
- Cultivate a conversation around first-gen and/or low-income folks’ experiences prior to applying to international fellowships, during the application stage (asking for recommendation letters, completing application essays, interviewing, etc.), and while abroad during the fellowship.
- Provide knowledge about different international fellowship opportunities.
- Empower first-gen and/or low-income students and early career professionals to see international fellowships as opportunities that are possible for them.
If you identify as a first-gen or low-income student and you’ve wondered if an international fellowship program like VIA, Peace Corps, Princeton in Asia, Fulbright, etc, would be a good fit for your career and life goals, this is a great opportunity to speak with folks who have been in your position.
This session is also open to faculty, administrators, career / fellowship advisors, and others who support students and young professionals in pursuing professional fellowship opportunities.
