VIA is a designated partner for Rikkyo University’s Global Leadership Program course GL301: Practical Training as a Leader （リーダーシップ海外体験科目), providing enrolled students who join VIA’s Exploring Social Innovation program in Silicon Valley the opportunity to complete the fieldwork portion of the Global Leadership Program.

VIA has also collaborated with Rikkyo University since 2015 to bring US students to Japan for the Rikuzentakata Project, an experiential learning opportunity for students from the US, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore to explore disaster recovery and sustainable community development in a community devastated by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster.
