①伊東 雅基 先生: Department of Neurosurgery

②古林 紫 先生: Cardiovascular Medicine/ Institute

③水野 和恵先生: Department of Radiation Oncology

④渡部 龍先生: Division of Immunology and Rheumatology

At first, they gave us their self-introduction. After that, they talked to us about “Global Health”, “Research and Life in Stanford”.

Through this Panel Discussion, we could heard about their history, experience, and dream.

I’ll introduce you about what I was impressed .

The first is that the way to build one’s career is not a one way, there are many variations of it. For example, devoting the field of research, training in clinical practice, and so on.

The second is that the single word “medical” covers a lot of field. People who studied other field, for example, Physics or Pharmacy, can approach healthcare. And this collaboration has great potential.

The third is that it is possible to achieve both own career and life events(marriage, childbirth, raising children) depending on my own. Especially, I’m also a girl. So this topic was interesting for me, and encouraged me to make efforts for my dream and my life.

To know that many Japanese succeed overseas, I felt very proud and being motivated!

I want to develop myself more from this experience:)

Thank you for reading this article. And I appreciate my team and VIA stuffs.
