Needless to say, Lunch and Dinner were so great to know the food culture in San Francisco. However, today, I want to share my experience of the Life Map activity. In this activity, we drew the pictures which show about our lives so far on the big paper.Everyone expressed their own history in their own styles. Some drew so many pictures, and other put the images along with the road of his life. I’m very happy to know the participants’ backgrounds.
As for me, I was born in Michigan and have American citizenship. In the future, I want to know the difference between Japanese and American medicine and develop new medicine which combines the each benefit. Looking back on my life, everything I did composed me, and makes me interested in cross-cultural communication between America and Japan. Also, it influences me accept diversity. During my stay in San Francisco, I want to see many things and post many questions to broaden my perspectives.
I’m very happy to know that another student of CME also has American citizenship. In addition, Erika is strongly interested in the medicine and education for disabled children. Through the CME, I want to discuss with them to think about my own dreams.
Moreover, by playing games, competing the numbers to find out common things of the group, I could realize many things we have in common. I hope many more things we have in common after finishing the CME program.
Also, through Life Map activity, I realize that everyone wants to brush up their English skill. Ellison told us “This is the great place to make mistakes!”
Hearing this words, I decided to use English for discussing with friends, expressing my impression or opinions, and chatting actively.
This day was the very good start of the CME.
I hope everyone enjoy and achieve their own goals through this program.
Thank you for reading my post!
