Abby Roberts
Abby Roberts is an International Studies and Gender & Women’s Studies student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is also pursuing a double minor in French and Middle East Studies. Abby enjoys learning new languages; she has been studying French for almost a decade, and began learning Arabic as a college freshman. Coupled with her passion for languages, Abby also enjoys traveling; having spent the past semester studying abroad in Bristol, UK, she was able to travel throughout Europe and visit a bunch of new places. Abby is looking forward to working as a Program Coordinator for ALC for a few reasons. First, she has never been to California! Second, she is excited and grateful to have the opportunity to share her experiences with other university students. Last but not least, Abby loves building relationships with other people and learning about their lives! |

Daniel Cheah
Hi everyone! I’m Daniel Cheah, and I’m a recent graduate in NanoEngineering from University of California, San Diego. Ethnically, I identify as Chinese-Malaysian, but I was born and raised in the States. I love traveling to new places, meeting new people, and learning about their experiences growing up. In 2017, I studied abroad in Osaka, Japan for three months conducting research in the field of biomechanics. Currently, I’m an intern at Takeda Pharmaceuticals and hope to pursue a career in medical devices in the future. I really enjoy staying active by going running, hiking, and going to the gym. I have a strong passion for the outdoors and try to unplug from society through camping or backpacking. I’ve excited to meet you all this summer! |
